Resident Services Update (Nov 26)

Resident Services Update (Nov 26)

Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

I hope you are well and safe, especially those who may be affected by the recent flooding in Abbotsford/Chilliwack. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. This year has been challenging between the fires, extreme heat and now the floods. Resilience is the word we think of when we think of our beautiful British Columbia. If anything, these trying times continue to show us that we are strong and that we as a province and community continue to show up to support each other.

As a reminder, November is Falls Prevention Month. Click here to download the resource document for everyone to utilize. Please use this document to highlight and educate others.

Here are a few updates at Nimi Nikkei Home:

  • Resident-only Christmas Party is booked for Thursday, December 23rd, 2021, from 430 pm-7 pm. To keep with the Covid protocols in our home, we are doing groups of dinners and reception in our KWL. Also, we have a special guest performance from the Consul General HATORI Takashi. If you’re planning to take your loved one home for Christmas day dinner, please email Team Leader [email protected] before Dec 10, 2021.
  • On Nov 15th, the Fraser Health Authority inspector came through and did the Covid Prevention Assessment, and we continued to be considered “Low Risk”. Our staff have been doing an extraordinary job in this area.
