As we take in the holiday season, we want to extend our heartfelt wishes to all of you. This time\u00a0of year is not just about festive decorations and joyful gatherings; it’s a time to reflect on the\u00a0essential moments we’ve shared and the connections that make life truly meaningful.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are a few updates:\u00a0\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Office and Administration:<\/strong> The office will be closed on Dec 25th and Dec 26th and\u00a0returning to office hours from Dec 27th to Dec 29th. Off again on Jan 1st and return to\u00a0the office on Jan 2nd to Jan 5th.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Special Occasion Dinners:<\/strong> On Dec 25th, Christmas, residents will be treated to Turkey\u00a0Dinner with trimmings, and on Jan 1st, New Year, Oscehi Ryori bentos. Residents must\u00a0inform the food service team if they need help joining these meals.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Food Committee Meeting:<\/strong> Jan 15th from 1p-2p with our Dietitian, Server Lead and\u00a0Leadership group. Mark your calendars. The Poster will be put up in the new year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    To families, as we reflected on our Resident Annual Holiday Party on Dec 5th, held at Nikkei\u00a0Place Hayashi Hall, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. Residents, staff,\u00a0 and volunteers gather around the tables, sharing stories, enjoying each other’s company and\u00a0having great food. Furthermore, we are very fortunate to have a lot of door prizes and gifts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Thank you to all who supported us. I want to take a moment to express gratitude to the\u00a0organizing committee (Marlene Davidson, Yoko Watase, Tara Pagnattarro, Jay Haraga, Yukiko\u00a0 Misaki, Yoshiko Uwasa, Helene Wong, and Rosa Patterson for recognizing their valuable\u00a0contributions that become the event’s foundation. Also, we thank Yoshiko Nakano for her\u00a0exceptional emcee duties, Cathy Makihara for the thoughtful speech, Nora MacAurther for all\u00a0the beautiful holiday decorations, and Consul General of Japan Kohei Maruyama. If we missed\u00a0 any acknowledgments or had any omissions, please let us know; we would be happy to thank\u00a0you personally from our society.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For all the cards, gift baskets, and goodies that we received from families, residents, and\u00a0partners, we are incredibly grateful for their thinking of us. We appreciate the thoughtfulness and\u00a0 kind words and express our deepest gratitude to you from our staff, and administration.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    May the upcoming year be filled with good health, joy, and prosperity for all of you. We wish\u00a0you a pleasant and joyful holiday season filled with love, laughter, and warmth, surrounded by\u00a0family and friends.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
