We wish you all health and happiness in 2023. As the cold\u00a0 weather continues, we have several changes as the easing of\u00a0restrictions continues to be advised by Fraser Health Authority.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Here are a few of the easing of changes.&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Meeting rooms and occupancy limits <\/strong>\u2013 no limitations and are back\u00a0 to normal pre-covid designated occupancy limits on our dining room,\u00a0 activity rooms, Kenko Wellness Lounge, Elevators, Office spaces, suites\u00a0 etc.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>KWL Entrance Covid testing area <\/strong>\u2013 There will be no designated\u00a0 testing area in the building. Please use your discretion and the comfort\u00a0 of your privacy to self-administer.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Washrooms located in the hallway 1st-floor dining area <\/strong>\u2013 We will unlock and use these washrooms for residents and staff. If you require\u00a0 assistance, please speak with our care team.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dining Room Space \u2013 <\/strong>New Sakura-so tenants will return to our\u00a0 dining space for dinners. There will be designated areas and tables\u00a0 distanced from Nikkei Home Residents. All tenants are required to\u00a0 follow the restrictions of the AL\/LTC orders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Daily Enhanced Cleaning \u2013 <\/strong>Starting Jan 1st, 2023, we no longer have enhanced cleaners daily. Only under the outbreak or enhanced\u00a0 monitoring will this position be in place for a short period of time.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other information about Nimi Nikkei Home:\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Resident Food Council meeting \u2013 <\/strong>on Jan 17th, we had a sample tasting of the spring foods coming soon. The next meeting will be in\u00a0 April, focusing on western and Japanese dessert tastings.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NEW Activities \u2013 <\/strong>Resident Lunar New Year event on Feb 3rd,\u00a0Monthly Birthday Parties. Please speak with any of the Activities team\u00a0 for more information.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Activity Team Office &amp; Extension Change \u2013 <\/strong>The activity team office has moved to the Kenko Wellness Lounge, and the new extension\u00a0 for them is Ext. 2007. The old activity office (Ext. 2109) is now spare and\u00a0 is temporarily not in use.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We continue to thank all families and residents for their support and\u00a0 will provide updates monthly or as needed throughout the year. Also, a\u00a0 special thank you to Matsuo Story, all the volunteers, and family\u00a0 members participating in the Resident Christmas Party.
