Nikkei Home employs staff centering on the care of senior residents of Assisted Living residence. We provide 24 hour care for residents, as well as recreational activities throughout the day. Our Care Team includes Team Leaders, Residents’ Assistants, Team Leader Coordinator, Activity and Volunteer Coordinator, and Housekeeping Aide. The Team Leaders must have a current LPN license. Our Administration team includes an Executive Director, a Manager of Residents’ Services, a Maintenance Coordinator, and an Accountant.
Although we do not advertise for Care Team job openings, we continually accept applications for the following positions:
LPN Team Leader (TL): The Licensed Practical Nurse Team Leader participates in the application of the nursing process, provides basic assessments and treatments, personal and nursing care. The Team Leader oversees the implementation of all assigned care tasks, carried out by the care team staff during his/ her shifts. The shifts are 12 hours.
LPN Team Leader Coordinator (TLC): The Licensed Practical Nurse Team Leader Coordinator is the primary contact for professional service providers: FHA, pharmacies, etc. The TLC also sets up care plans for residents; as well as lead the LPN team leaders and Residents’ Assistants, and Housekeepers.
Residents’ Assistant (RA): The RA provides daily assistance with activities of daily living for all residents. They may administer medication as assigned by the TL. The RA must be registered in BC Care Aide Registry.
